Duplicat's Diary

Back on the outer reef
by Rick at 21:32:26, 2022-09-29 (day 3070)

We managed a dive at Castaway Reef which was lovely. Bryan’s first dive for many years, and he loved it. From there, we went to Musket Cove and picked up a mooring for a few nights. The first day was windy, which resulted in many boat jobs. Alas, the generator is still playing up a bit, so we’re still pondering that.

The pizza and bar at Musket Cove has been used a couple of times, and its still good. Its a lot less busy than regatta week, but the World Odyssey mob arrived last night and we had our table reserved for them whilst we were sat there eating our pizza (and told they’d be along in 10 minutes). A bit miffed by this, we covered the table number and enjoyed our pizza and drinks before leaving the wandering muppets to finally find their table.

We also managed a dive on the Pinnacles. It was a bit lively getting out there, and the buoy has now been replaced by a plastic drinks bottle with a new, thin, line. It was fine for our dinghy though. It was a great dive as always.

This morning we’ve moved out onto the outer reef again, this time near the Cloud 9 floating bar. We have friends, their on holiday, its the done thing :) We’ll go over later and see what its like. Its a nice spot here though.

You can see the bar on the channel into the spot we’ve anchored.
